
Marshall County track and field hosted the annual Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays on Friday evening. Taking overall team wins were the boys from Marshall County and the girls’ team from Herrin, Ill. The Lady Marshals finished fourth in team standings. The Marshall County teams combined posted 14 first place finishes.
Five first place finishes for the girls’ team came from Izzy Washburn in the pole vault and the 4 x 100 (throwers), 4 x 200, 4 x 800 and 800 sprint medley relays.
Deegan Croley won the shot put event, one of nine first place finishes for the boys’ team. The Marshals took first in eight relay events including the 4 x 100 (throwers), 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 400 (freshman), 4 x 800, 4 x 1600, 800 sprint medley and distance medley.
