
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Monday, April 8, 2024, around 12:30pm, Deputy Lori Francis served April Hicks (31) of London on a Failure to Appear bench warrant from Laurel District Court regarding several traffic offenses. Hicks will be extradited to Laurel County once she is done serving an unrelated state prison sentence.
- On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, around 2pm, deputies responded to a complaint of a female walking in traffic in Kuttawa on US 62 near Exit 40. The located the female in Kuttawa and found her speaking incoherently and manifestly under the influence of an intoxicating substance. She was arrested and found to possess suspected Methamphetamine and a snorting straw with white residue.
The female was identified as Misty G. Lesnau (46) of Kuttawa, previously of Alabama. She was charged by Deputy Josh Travis with Public Intoxication, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Methamphetamine), and Drug Paraphernalia-Possession. Lesnau was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, around 4:45pm, deputies responded to Moon Bay Drive in Kuttawa for an unwanted subject complaint. The complainant had witnessed the female administering drugs upon herself previously and had asked her to leave the home, but she declined. The female was identified as Kimberly E. Eden (50) of Madisonville. She continued to refuse to leave the property and was told she was under arrest by deputies. She then began to physically resist arrest and had to be forcibly taken into custody. She was charged by Deputy Josh Travis with Criminal Trespassing and Resisting Arrest. Eden was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, around 8:45am, Sheriff Brent White arrested Tawny M. Clinton (35) of Eddyville. Clinton was the subject of a bench warrant from Lyon Circuit Court for Probation Violation (for felony offense). Clinton was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, around 11am, Deputy Lori Francis served Wendi G. Jones (43) of Louisville on a Contempt of Court bench warrant from Trimble District Court regarding several traffic offenses. Jones will be extradited to Trimble County once she is done serving an unrelated state prison sentence.
- On Thursday, April 11, 2024, around 4:15pm, Sheriff Brent White and Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Rebecca R. Figg (53) of Kuttawa. Figg was a wanted fugitive from Calloway County charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card regarding a stolen credit card from Figg’s former employer. Figg was also found to be the subject of an arrest warrant from Maine for a felony theft offense totaling over $7,000. Figg was additionally charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. Figg was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Friday, April 12, 2024, around 7am, Sheriff Brent White charged Tamara A. Gipson (46) of Eddyville with a Failure to Appear bench warrant from Union District Court for a traffic related offense. Gipson is lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 8:20am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a McCracken District Court bench warrant on Angel L. Ford (48) of Paducah for Failure to Pay or Appear on a traffic offense and drug charge. In addition, Ford was charged with a Ballard Circuit Court indictment warrant for multiple traffic and drug offenses. Ford will be extradited to Ballard County once she is done serving an unrelated state prison sentence.
- On Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 7:53pm, Deputy Josh Travis responded to a complaint of an intoxicated subject in a vehicle near Water Street in Eddyville. Deputy Travis located the vehicle on KY 730 West and stopped the vehicle on KY 293. Following a roadside investigation, Deputy Travis arrested William D. Jones (65) of Princeton. Jones was charged with DUI-1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia-Possession, and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle. Jones was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 9:55pm, deputies and officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on KY 293 near the KY 818 North intersection. An investigation by Deputy Michelle Kent determined a 17-year-old male juvenile from Ashland City, TN was in a stolen a 2019 Ford Edge, which was stolen from Paducah the same day. The juvenile was operating the stolen vehicle with a suspended Tennessee driver’s license and while intoxicated on alcoholic beverages before fleeing the scene of the collision. He was located Chief Jordan Parrish at the Marathon station on KY 293.
The juvenile was charged by Deputy Kent with DUI-1st Offense, Operating on a Suspended/Revoked License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Receiving Stolen Property. The Eddyville Police Department, Kentucky State Police, Paducah Police Department, and Deputy Josh Travis assisted Deputy Kent with the investigation.
