Mr. Charles “Jack” Burkeen, age 85 of Mayfield, KY passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 6:05 PM at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mayfield.
He is survived by his wife- Marion “Marilyn” Schumaker Burkeen; a son Jason (Jessica) Burkeen of Mayfield, KY; brothers- Aubrey Burkeen Jr. of Mayfield, KY, and Bobby (Becky) Burkeen of Mayfield, KY; sister- Frances (Neil) Scoggins of Mayfield, KY; two bonus granddaughters- Abby Rust and Chloe Rust; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents- Aubrey Burkeen Sr. and Nellie Copeland Burkeen; a son- Jerry Burkeen; a brother-Billy Burkeen; sisters- Lurleen Ray, and Helen Russelberg; and two nieces- Rhonda Brittian and Joy Cullen.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY with Rev. Steve Burkeen and Rev. Rick Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery. Friends are invited to call after 10:00 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
Bryan Reed, Bobby Elliott, Tim Burkeen, Scott Burkeen, Tommy Moore, and Ricky Bell will serve as pallbearers. Anthony Baumgardner and Eric Winstead will serve as honorary pallbearers.
