Carolyn Ann Dodson, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was a member of Palma United Methodist Church.
Born on May 15, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joe Frank Eley and the late Mildred (Stahl) Washburn.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Frank Eley and her mother, Mildred Washburn, and stepfather, Cad Washburn.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Schuyler “Sky” Dodson; her three sons, Steve (Rae Anne) Washburn, Darren Dodson, and Derek Dodson; and her two grandsons, Zachary (Allyson) Dodson and Dylan (Callie) Dodson.
Carolyn was known by her family members and friends as the best person, the sweetest soul, and so much more. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with the ones that meant the most to her, laughing and exchanging stories. She also loved spending as much time as possible sitting on the porch, watching birds eat from the feeders. She will forever be remembered for ability to spread love and happiness to everyone she encountered.
To honor Carolyn’s wishes, there will be a private, family only graveside service.
