LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE

  • On Sunday, March 10, 2024, around 7:06pm, Deputy Josh Travis located Scott B. Smith (59) of Kuttawa in the Suwanee community. He was arrested on a Caldwell District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear in court. Smith was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

 

  • On Sunday, March 10, 2024, around 8:21pm, Deputy David Carroll and Sheriff Brent White responded to a disturbance complaint on Brasher Road. The investigation resulted in the arrest of James N. Brantley (33) of Kuttawa. He was charged with Assault-4th Degree (domestic violence) Minor Injury. Brantley was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

  • On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, deputies served the following warrants:

 

    • James D. Martin (51) of Central City arrested on two Daviess Circuit Court indictment warrants for Theft, Possession of Firearm by Felon, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument, and Criminal Mischief related offenses.

 

    • Amanda M. Patton (40) of Eddyville arrested on a Hopkins District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear in a traffic case.

 

  • On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Sheriff Brent White served a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant on Robert Peek, Jr. (64) of Eddyville (formerly of Lovelaceville) charging him with Probation Violation for Felony Offense. Peek was originally convicted of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

  • On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Sheriff Brent White responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision on US 62 East. The investigation revealed a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Dalton M. Phillips (19) of Eddyville collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Sarah Herring (18) of Eddyville as Herring was turning into a residential driveway. No injuries were reported in the collision.

 

  • On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, around 7:30pm, Deputy David Carroll located Robin M. Peek (55) of Kuttawa. She was arrested on a Lyon District Court bench warrant charging her with Contempt of Court involving a civil case. Peek was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

  • On Friday, March 15, 2024 around 1:35pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams and Sheriff Brent White responded to a disturbance complaint on US 62 East near Winters Road. An off-duty Princeton PD Officer was driving on US 62 when he observed two-men fighting on the shoulder of the road and notified dispatch. Both men were arrested and identified as follows:

 

    • Raymond J. Hayes (33) of Princeton was charged with Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree, and on 3 bench warrants from Fulton District Court charging him with Failure to Appear in all 3 cases. Hayes was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

    • Steven T. Sloyan (32) of Princeton was charged with Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree. Sloyan was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

 

  • On Sunday, March 17, 2024, around 12:30pm, Deputy Josh Travis responded to a two-vehicle collision on Days Inn Drive in Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a 2019 Ford driven by Judy M. Johnson (76) of Eddyville was attempting to make a left hand turn into a parking lot when she failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a 2005 Volvo driven by Patrick D. Flear (22) of Princeton. Neither party required medical attention at the scene.
