William Lewis “Billy” Lanier, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Southgate Nursing & Rehab.
He was born October 21, 1945 in Paducah to the late Lewis W. and Mamye (Farmer) Lanier. Billy was a graduate of Heath High School and an Army Veteran. He was a Duke of Paducah and a former member of the Paducah Bowling Association. He was a coach with the American Junior Bowling Association and served several years on the Kentucky State Junior Bowlers Board of Directors. As an avid crocheter, Billy gave thousands of items to many charities in Paducah.
Billy is survived by his son, Aaron Lanier of Palm Beach, Florida; sister, Carlene Vasseur (Steve) of Palm Coast, Florida; one granddaughter and one grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his husband of 22 years, Larry Furmann and his brother, Larry Lanier.
There will be no services.
