Construction of new Bayou Creek Branch Bridge to take about 90 days
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 135/Carrsville Road in Livingston County starting Monday, March 4, 2024.
KY 135/Carrsville Road will be closed at mile point 3.31 near the Hampton community to allow the construction of a new bridge over a branch of Bayou Creek. This is along KY 135/Carrsville Road about 1/2 mile north of the KY 838/Hampton Road intersection.
There will be a marked detour via KY 1608/Maxfield Road and KY 763/Maxfield Road.
Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $550,000 bridge replacement project. The target completion date is June 1, 2024.
