At approximately 11:50 AM on February 13, 2024, a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner. The vehicle was in the Elmdale Road area of Paducah, KY. The deputy quickly learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Illinois earlier on February 13, 2024.
Before the deputy could attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver parked and went into a residence on Elmdale Road. More deputies arrived to assist and eventually located Sophia Scott, of Paducah, KY, inside the residence. The deputy was able to identify Scott as the operator of the vehicle.
Scott, 40 years old, was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,000. She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
