Maxine Powell, age 93, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 6:20 P.M. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Maxine was born in Tiline, Kentucky on Thursday, May 1, 1930 to Edward and Agnus Ross. She was a loving wife and mother who faithfully cared for her ill son Carl, until his passing. She was a strong Christian of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her brother, William Ross of Flint, Michigan; her niece, Debbie Childress (Johnny) of Tiline.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Deen Wesley Powell; her son, Carl Wesley Powell; her parents, Edward Ross and Agnus Kemer Ross; her brother, Duane Ross.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Groves Chapel Cemetery in Livingston County.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
