Joe Rose, 74 of Benton, Kentucky died on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his residence.
Born Sunday, April 3, 1949, in Paducah, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Novice Rose and the late Patsy Jo Wyatt Johnston. Joe was a member and Deacon of the Oak Level Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years; Deborah Hamlett Rose, son, Jody Rose (Wendy) of Benton, KY, daughter, Christy Dyer (Brent) of Murfreesboro, TN, brothers, Mike Johnston (Natalie) of Benton, KY, Jeff Johnston (Janice) of Benton, KY, grandson, Colton Joseph Dyer and three nieces.
Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, J.P. Johnston, grandparents, Truie and Grace Wyatt, and nephew, Jeremy Johnston.
Funeral Services will be Friday February 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. C.C. Brasher and Bro. Max Anderson officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton, KY.
Visitation will be Friday February 2, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home, Inc. located at 211 W 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
In lieu of flowers and food, the family has requested donations be made to the Hillcrest Cemetery Fund c/o Gary Smith 86 New Harmony Road Benton, KY 42025.
