
Calvert City, KY (January 29, 2024) – On the evening of January 26, 2024, the Calvert City Police Department responded to 538 East 10th Avenue in reference to a possible disturbance. Additional information was not known at the time due to difficulty understanding the caller. After arriving on scene and further investigation, Shiana S. Coomer, 30, was arrested for assault 4th degree dating violence (minor injury) and Nikolas A. Melendez, 29, was arrested for assault 4th degree dating violence (minor injury).
On January 27, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department responded to the BP at 3494 US Highway 62 in reference to two people in a vehicle who had a fight. The third passenger was given a ride to a local motel to get out of the rain. Upon arrival at the motel, a brown paper bag that belonged to the person tore and the contents escaped. The person stepped on a glass pipe that fell from the bag until being asked to move. The glass pipe had white powder residue inside it and field tested positive for methamphetamine. Jeffery Allen Brennan, 64, of 132 Patriot Street, Gilbertsville was arrested for possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine). He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
On January 27, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department arrested Dillon J. Combs, 32, of 535 Elm Street, Calvert City on a Lyon County Warrant for failure to appear.
On January 29, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department was dispatched to the Love’s Travel Center/Arby’s at 2966 US Highway 62 in reference to a suspicious person complaint. It was advised that there was a male wearing a white jacket with a rose on it walking through the parking lot attempting to open random car doors with what appeared to be a key. Upon officer arrival, the subject walked straight to the patrol car and stated that he had found a key and was trying to figure out what car it went to. He did not have a key, was confused, disoriented, and not making much sense. He later advised that the was tripping on LSD/Acid. Erik H. Martin, 33, of 458 S. Seminary Street, Madisonville was arrested for public intoxication – controlled substances (excludes alcohol). He was also served a Daviess County Warrant for theft by failure to make required disposition of property $1,000 < $10,000. The Calvert City Police Department was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
