Mrs. Ruoff was a graduate of Reidland High School and Murray State University. She graduated from Murray State with a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught for over forty years at the primary level in both the Paducah City Schools and at Community Christian Academy. After retirement, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards with friends, volunteering for the Flower Ministry at her church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy was a member of Paducah First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Greta (Jeff) Ramage, of Smithland, KY; her daughter, Paige (Steven) Stroud, of St. Louis, MO; her son, Ben Ruoff, of Nashville, TN; her brother, Thomas (Leandra) Walker, of Paducah, KY; and four grandchildren: Olivia Ramage, Daniel Ramage, Chloe Ruoff, and Ada Stroud.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille (Wooten) and Thomas Walker; her brother, Michael Walker; and her sister, Mary Ann Langston.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah. A memorial service will follow immediately after, at 1:00 p.m., with Dr. Brian Arnold and Pastor Tommy Tucker officiating.
