Mr. Darren Wayne Bostic, 42, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his home.
Darren was born on February 13, 1981 in Mayfield, KY to the late William Bostic and Janice Acree. He was a first class welder for James Marina until his retirement. Darren loved to fish, watch football but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially children and grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Jana Bostic of Murray; children, Zachary Bostic of Murray, Shyra Bostic of Murray, Breana Rice (fiancé, Alex Schulert) of Murray, Brooklyn Elkins (Brian) of Murray; Godchildren, Tim Thurman (Amber) of Murray, Tiffany Redden of Aurora, Marissa King (Shawn Butler) of Hardin; grandchildren, Archie Schulert, Delilah Schulert (due in June), Logan Thurman, De’Aaron Caldwell, Layton Alexander, Elliana Butler; siblings, Michael Bostic (Jennifer) of Sedalia, Timmy Bostic of Mayfield; nieces and nephers, Elijah (Johnson) Bostic, Aeris Roy, Justus Bostic, Jordan McCoy, Kelsey Hutchinson (Jake) and one great niece, Eilee Rayne Hutchinson. In addition, he leaves behind his father and mother in law, Brian and Pamela Porter; sisters in law, Jennifer McCoy (fiance, Scott Thompson), and Julie Hale (Kenny Hale).
A graveside service is set for 12 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Matheny Cemetery. Michael Bostic and Terry Josleyn will officiate. Pallbearers include Brian Elkins, Alex Schulert, Scott Thompson, Brian Porter, Tim Thurman, Justus Bostic.
His family welcomes visitors from 10 am until 10:30 am on Monday at Imes Funeral Home.
