Two men were arrested in McCracken County on Tuesday afternoon
following a drug investigation.

Earlier this month, detectives received information alleging that
46-year-old Michael Creech was once again selling Methamphetamine in
multiple Western Kentucky counties. Drug detectives were familiar with
Creech and had arrested him on numerous occasions.

Drug detectives conducted an investigation that involved purchasing
Crystal Methamphetamine from Creech and obtaining two search warrants
for residences located in the Farley area of McCracken County.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Creech was wanted
on an outstanding parole violation warrant. On 01/23/2024, just after
2:00PM, detectives located and arrested Creech during a traffic stop
on Clarks River Road. As part of the investigation, detectives then
executed two search warrants at two separate residences located at 155
and 185 Butler Lane in McCracken County. When detectives arrived on
Butler lane, they located 53-year-old Mark Bates of Paducah, KY. Bates
was arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Texas.

During the investigation and search warrants, detectives located and
seized approximately 115 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone
pills, Oxycodone pills, assorted drug paraphernalia, and $3,800 in
cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

At the time of his arrest, Creech was on parole for a 2021 conviction
for trafficking in Methamphetamine.

Both Creech and Bates were lodged in the McCracken County Regional
Jail. The investigation is continuing, and additional arrests are
likely in this case.
