On Jan 24, 2024, at approximately 3:30pm deputies attempted to serve a court papers to an address on Gilbert Street in Hazel. Two females were at the residence when deputies observed what was believed to be illicit drugs present. They were given commands to sit on the porch while a search warrant was obtained. They did not comply and became actively resistant. One of the individuals, Camie Wetter, then went to the door and released a pit bull which bit one of the deputies on the leg causing minor injury. Both females were detained. Wetter was arrested and charged with the below listed charges after finding a quantity of Oxycodone consistent with trafficking and other pills that were not believed to be prescribed to her. The second female was cited with a court date on misdemeanor charges and left to tend to a child that was in the home.

On Jan 23, 2024, at approximately 4:00pm deputies conducted a traffic stop on N 16th Street in Murray. The driver and the passenger were found to be in possession of illicit drugs. They were lodged at the Calloway County Correction Facility on the below listed charges.

On Jan 22, 2024 yet another suspect was lodged at the Calloway County indictment warrant that was issued at the end of September. The investigation that led to this point revealed that he was trafficking Fentanyl in our community. He was arrested by Paducah Police Department and then brought to the Calloway County.
