Buddy High, age 79, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.
Buddy was born on August 25, 1944, to the late Alton and Leora Johnson. He was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Buddy was an auto body technician and owned his shop, Buddy’s Body Shop from 1978 until he retired in 2000. He loved to fish and garden and was very particular about his flower beds and yard. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janie Carol King High; two sons, James Robert High (Karla) and Michael Lynn High, both of Bardwell, Kentucky; sister, Lori Damons of Collierville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Brandon High (Valerie) of Mayfield, Kentucky, Maegan Despain (Jeremiah) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Erika High of Mayfield, Kentucky; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sandra High and Carol Stigall.
A Graveside Service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Kentucky at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
