Linda Hayden Pearson, age 80, of Milburn, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
Linda was born in Carlisle County on August 9, 1943, to the late Reuben Claude Hayden and Harriett Gill Terry. She was of the Baptist faith. Linda worked for over 33 years with the Carlisle County Clerk’s Office. When she wasn’t working, Linda loved to be outside, especially when the sun was shining and she had a good book to read. She also enjoyed getting together with friends and sharing the day’s gossip. Linda was most happy at home though, surrounded by her family. She loved having everyone close and enjoyed cooking for her family for Sunday afternoon dinners.
Linda is survived by her husband of 60 years, James “Sonny” Pearson; her daughter, Shana Pearson Edmaiston; two sons, Timmy Pearson and Todd (Heather) Pearson; eight grandchildren, Kory (Courtney) Pearson, DeAnna (Jerry) Wheeler, Trever (Keresa) Edmaiston, Destyn Pearson, Kyler Pearson, Blaise Pearson, Ella Pearson and Kade Pearson; and seven great-grandchildren, Cameron Wheeler, Connor Wheeler, Gabbi Thomason, Presley Pearson, Ella Wheeler, Pryce Pearson and Parker Pearson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Wallace; niece, Tonya Edwards and nephew, Shane Wallace; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. Glen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the funeral home.
