Good news for senior citizens in Marshall County. Starting Wednesday, January 17th senior citizens will begin meeting at the Joe Creason room at the Benton City Park from 10 ’til 1. Benton Mayor Rita Dotson and Marshall County Judge Executive Kevin Spraggs were guests recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Mayor Dotson said the meeting will be for anyone 60 or older who wants to attend and will take place each Wednesday with lunch and several activities planned. Judge Spraggs says plans are underway to raise funds and renovate the former Benton Senior Citizens Building. But until then he says the meetings will be held at the Joe Creason Center.
