
On January 11, 2024, at 0432 Hours Deputies of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of the .4 mile marker on I-24 West for a vehicle stalled in the road. As deputies responded, they were advised a collision had taken place at the same location. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a Black Dodge pickup truck and a Silver Chevrolet Silverado both severely damaged blocking the roadway. During the investigation, Deputies discovered the Dodge operated by Joshua Howie of Almo, Kentucky stopped with his hazard lights activated to assist the stalled vehicle. At the same time a Silver Chevy Silverado operated by Micah Dismukes of Dothan, Alabama swerved to miss the stalled vehicle and collided with Howie’s vehicle. Howie did not sustain any injuries in the collision. Dismukes was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. The investigation is still on going. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Concord Fire Department, Paducah Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ems and the Paducah Police Department. |
