Mrs. Bernita “Charlie” Barborka, 68, of Murray, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Charlie was born on May 6, 1955 in Tuscola, IL to the late Phillip Derby and Beverly Bane Patton. She retired from Pella in Murray and currently was employed at Lowe’s.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her step mother, Mrs. Kay Derby; an infant son, Lucas Tanner Gee and two brothers, Phillip I. Derby, Jr. and Bruce H. Derby.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her husband of 18 years, Mr. Frank Barborka of Murray; a brother, Eric Derby (Nicci) of Murray; two sisters, Debbie Darnell (Terry) of Murray, Connie Buberle (Gary Vilt) of Coal City, IL, as well as, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Charlie also leaves behind her beloved fur baby, Allie.
A private, family celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at a later date.
