
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle injury collision on KY 93 South between Paradise Hills Road and KY 274. His investigation revealed a 2020 Nissan Rogue, operated by Elizabeth Oliver (87) of Eddyville left the roadway after the operator lost control and struck a culvert before impacting an earth embankment and coming to rest in a ditch. The operator refused medical treatment at the scene but was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle.
- On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Deputy Michelle Kent served a criminal summons on Kristina R. Peek (40) of Eddyville. Peek was charged with Theft by Deception (including cold checks). She was summoned to Lyon District Court.
- On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Trooper Nick Engler arrested Tamara A. Gipson (46) of Eddyville after she turned herself in at Eddyville. Gipson was the subject of a Lyon Circuit Court Indictment Warrant charging her with Perjury-1st Degree. Gipson posted $2,500.00 cash and was released from custody by the Lyon County Jailer. The case in which Gipson is charged was investigated by Sheriff Brent White.
- On Thursday, January 4, 2024, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Gregory E. Lawless (44) of Marion. He was charged with Contempt of Court/Resistance to Order on a Criminal Trespass and Drug case from Lyon District Court. Lawless posted a cash bond of $500.00 and was released from custody.
- On Thursday, January 4, 2024, Sheriff Brent White served an Indictment Warrant on Emma N. Wadley (31) of Kuttawa. She was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance -1st Offense (> 2 grams) Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia by Complicity, and Possession of a Firearm
