Connie Jo (Oliver) Frye Blazer Grandma, age 73, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

Born February 20, 1950, in Cadiz, she was the daughter of the late Maxie and Emma Lee Oliver.

Connie was retired from Lake Barkley State Resort Park where she was housekeeping supervisor for many years, having previously worked in housekeeping in nursing home and hotel settings. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, and as the wife of pastors, was always an encourager in their ministry. Connie accepted Jesus into her heart as a young girl and was never afraid to share her faith. She had a kind and compassionate heart toward others and often volunteered with Alpha Alternative. Connie was a patient and loving mother of two sons and a joyful Grandma to their children. She was an excellent cook and loved to cross stitch, gifting each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren a beautiful quilt of their own to cherish.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse L. Frye, Sr., her second husband, Rev. Delaino Blazer; and a great-granddaughter, Starr Frye.

She is survived by her sons, Jesse (Samantha) Frye, Jr. and Marc (Meri) Frye, both of Cadiz; step-children, Ilayna (Steve) Bowers, Arletta (Oscar) Narvaez, and Arlynn (Olivia) Blazer; her brother, Jackie (Gail) Oliver of Cadiz; 12 grandchildren, Hayla (Jeremiah) Swaw, Kanisha (A.J.) Parrish, Marcanah (Timothy) Knight, Maylee (Jacob) Segebart, Preslie Frye, Aidan Frye (Destiny Turner), Nerissa Bowers, Isaac (Sydney) Bowers, Abigail Blazer, Adalin Narvaez, Ethan Narvaez, and Amos Blazer; and nine great grandchildren, Braiden Parrish, Aiden Parrish, Mylah Swaw, Liam Frye, Karson Parrish, Haydin Swaw, Hadlee Parrish, Charlie Grace Segebart, and Baby Boy Knight.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024, with Bro. James Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.
