
Timmy Ray Cope, 45, of Hardin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home.
Timmy was born at Murray Calloway County Hospital on August 23, 1978. He lived in Marshall County and attended South Marshall Elementary, South Marshall Middle and graduated with honors from Marshall County High School and attended Murray State University. Timmy worked at Walmart for over 25 years. He loved all sports, especially St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and University of KY Basketball. Some would say he was a sports fanatic. Timmy was a weather enthusiast and enjoyed tracking the weather around the globe. More than anything, he loved his children who he could not say no to. Timmy was of the Baptist faith.
Timmy is survived by his girlfriend, Angie Shierts; his son, Marcus Anton Cope; his daughter, Kirsten Gabrielle Cope; father and step-mother, Wayne and Judy Cope; brothers, Todd Cope, wife, Candace (Michael and Mason), and Travis Cope; half-brother, Alex Cope; step-brother, Jeff Jackson, wife, Gloria (Dylan and Maddox); step-sister, Jill Guill husband, Terry (Ryan, Ashley, Sam, Reese and Daisy); grandmother, Fay Schuster; uncle, Bobby Schuster; great-uncle, Bill Luebker, and several other uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Kathy and Dave Hancock; brother, Terry Cope; grandfather, Ronald Schuster; grandparents, Willard and Lugene Cope; great aunt, Christine Luebker; great grandparents, Willard and Vera Luebker and Guy and Trentie McCain.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with his step-brother, Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Cole Cemetery in Benton.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
