On 12/28/2023, Michael Gordon age 45 of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested on 3 bench warrants issued out of Marshall Circuit court all for probation violation and 1 bench warrant issued out of Calloway Circuit court for probation violation.
On 12/30/2023, David Darnell age 39 of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking $1000<$10,000 and tampering with physical evidence. Deputies received a report that a subject had lost their phone while at the Benton Walmart. It was discovered that Mr. Darnell had picked up the phone and taken the phone with him when he left the store.
On 12/29/2023, Paul “Stevie” Kissiar age 37 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, menacing and public intoxication (controlled substance). Deputies received a call for assistance from a resident on Dogtown Road who stated that Stevie was causing a disturbance. Benton Police assisted sheriff’s office on this call. When deputy/officer arrived on scene, Stevie was not at the residence. Stevie then appeared and was running at the officers/deputy and was cursing loudly, causing a disturbance. Stevie was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
On 12/30/2023, Cameron Joiner age 27 of Paducah KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Todd County circuit court for failure to appear.
On 01/01/2024, Tyler J. Kirk age 22 of Grand Rivers, was arrested and charged with operating motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense (aggravating circumstances), reckless driving, speeding 10 mph over limit, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and other traffic offenses. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Kirk was driving on 641 N near Yacht Dr in Marshall County when deputy observed Kirk swerving and almost striking another vehicle head on. Kirk was lodged in the Marshall County detention center.
On 01/01/2024, Bryan Mitchell age 24 of Dawson Springs KY, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Highway 641. Mitchell was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On 01/01/2024, Terry Miller age 42 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense, no insurance, no license to be in possession and improper registration plate. Deputies were dispatched to Jackson School Rd and I69 overpass for a report that a vehicle had struck the guardrail. It was determined that Miller was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Miller was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On 01/01/2024, James Streit age 31 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, assault 3rd degree and menacing. Deputies was dispatched to a residence on Houser Road in Marshall County due to a male subject who had been causing a disturbance and then went unconscious. Deputy made contact with Streit and EMS examined Streit. Streit attempted to leave the residence prior to deputies leaving and was advised he needed to stay in the residence. Streit refused to go back into the residence and deputies attempted to take Streit into custody. Streit kicked one deputy and bit another deputy. Streit was taken into custody and was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
