LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE

⦁ On Monday, December 25, 2023, around 11:38pm, Deputy David Carroll was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on US 62 in Kuttawa. The investigation revealed Brenda S. Graham (71) of Greenville, FL was East bound on US 62 when a deer entered her path. She was unable to avoid the collision and struck the deer with her 2023 Mazda CX-9. No injuries were reported; however, her vehicle was rendered inoperable from the collision.

⦁ On Wednesday, December 28, 2023, around 2:45pm, deputies were dispatched to a trespassing complaint off US 641 North. The investigation revealed two suspects parked their vehicle in a field and walked beyond no trespassing signs and were located in a dry creek bed. The suspects were identified as Gregory E. Lawless (44) of Marion and Brandi K. Asbridge (39) of Benton.

Lawless was on Parole for criminal convictions out of Warren County for Theft Over $10,000 but less than $1,000,000, and Union County for Criminal Mischief-1st Degree, Criminal Trespassing, and drug offenses. Lawless was charged by Sheriff Brent White with Criminal Trespassing-2nd Degree and Drug Paraphernalia-Possession.

Asbridge was discovered to be an absconder/fugitive from justice with five (5) active warrants for her arrest. She was arrested by Chief Deputy Sam Adams and charged with Criminal Trespassing, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine), and Drug Paraphernalia-Possession. She was also charged with the following:

⦁ Livingston District Court – Failure to Pay Child Support.
⦁ Livingston Circuit Court – Felony Probation Violation for two Flagrant Non-Support convictions.
⦁ Livingston Circuit Court – Contempt of Court for failure to comply with three Fraudulent Use of Credit Card convictions.
⦁ Caldwell Circuit Court – Felony Probation Violation for two Methamphetamine related convictions.
⦁ Henderson Circuit Court – Felony Probation Violation for Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument-2nd Degree and Theft related convictions.

Both Asbridge and Lawless were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

⦁ On Sunday, December 31, 2023, around 8pm, Deputy David Carroll was dispatched to a disturbance and assault complaint on KY 1272 near Lamasco. The initial investigation resulted in the arrest of Gregary W. Vaughn (33) of Princeton. He was charged with Alcohol Intoxication. Additional charges are pending further investigation. Vaughn was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

⦁ On Sunday, December 31, 2023, around 9:55pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle injury collision off East Clough Drive in Kuttawa. The investigation revealed Brent E. Burban (53) of Eddyville was traveling on East Clough when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and collided with two trees. Burban received significant injuries resulting from the collision. He was treated at the scene by Lyon County EMS and later flown by AirEvac to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Deputy Carroll was assisted at the scene by the Eddyville Police Department, Kuttawa Fire Department, and AirEvac.
