Denzil P’Pool, age 66, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and native of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at his home in Clarksville.
Born April 6, 1957, in Cadiz, he was the son of the late Clint and Pauline (Wadlington) P’Pool.
A 1976 graduate of Trigg County High School, Denzil worked for many years as an auto body technician and painter for various body shops before taking his skills to Lockheed Martin/DynCorp., where he was employed as a helicopter painter. A true craftsman in his trade, Denzil always took great pride in his work, using his skills in his spare time to restore old tractors, cars, and motorcycles to their original beauty. When he wasn’t in a garage, he was out riding horses and spending time with the sweetest girls in his life, his granddaughters, Annabelle and Adaleigh. He was devoted to his family and was a good friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lewis P’Pool, and brother-in-law, Jerry Hampton.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Martha (Black) P’Pool of Clarksville; son, James P’Pool of Clarksville; daughter, Lacy (P’Pool) Edmondson and husband, Chris of Clarksville; his granddaughters, Annabelle and Adaleigh; a brother, Timmy P’Pool and wife, Lisa of Cadiz; sister, Judy Hampton of Cadiz; and sister-in-law, Mary Hightower and husband, Bobby Hanson of Russellville, KY.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the funeral service time of 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2023, with Bro. Mitchell Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer-Brandon Cemetery.
