Virginia Mae Wallace Jones, 96, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital.
Virginia retired from Baptist as a nurse’s aid after working for 20 plus years, but her favorite thing in life was being a mother and looking after her kids. She loved taking care of her house plants. Virginia was an avid UK basketball fan and loved to cook. She was of the Baptist faith.
Virginia is survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Virginia in death is her first husband, Howard Wallace; her second husband, Johnny Jones; five children, Judy Herzog, Edward Lynn Wallace, Peggy Roberts, Brenda Vidmer, and Terry Wallace; her parents, George and Opal Dodson; and her loving cat, Snowey.
A memorial service for Virginia will be held Friday, January 5, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow.
