Mr. William Albert “W.A.” Knight, 78 of Murray, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born March 11, 1945, in Calloway Co., KY, W.A., was the son of the late Robert Lynn and Virgie (Whitney) Knight. He was a commercial fisherman for over 50 years and was a member of the New Jenny Ridge Pentecostal Church.
W.A. is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenda (Balentine) Knight of Murray, KY; son, Barry Knight, wife Kim of Paducah, KY; daughter, Pam Grace, husband John of Murray, KY; brother, Bobby Knight of Murray, KY; sister, Elizabeth Borens of Briensburg, KY; and grandchildren, Corbin Knight and Autumn Knight both of Paducah, KY, Hannah Grace of Salina, KS and Jacob Grace of Manhattan, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy Knight; and sisters, Margie Dixon and Eloise Edwards.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Jenny Ridge Cemetery, 2604 Highland Road, Murray, KY, with Barry Knight and Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow the service.
Friends may visit with his family between the hours of 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., on Friday, December 29, 2023, and Saturday, December 30, 2023, after 8:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th Street, Murray, KY.
