Our mother, Beverly Cheryl Bloodworth Hammonds, 68, of Murray, KY – was one of the strongest and most courageous women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Beverly was born Jan. 1, 1955 to the late James and Alene Forsythe Bloodworth in Granite City, IL. and entered into eternal rest on Dec. 26, 2023. Beverly was the youngest of 11 children and is survived by Thomas J. Bloodworth, Judy Correnti-Graf and Sharon Bloodworth of IL.; Robert Bloodworth of FL.; and Barbara Edgell of IN. She was Founder and Administrator of Friends of Our Forest Forever Between the Rivers) and active in the BTR Ladies group.

Beverly was a fiercely dedicated and loyal mother, raising five equally tenacious and independent children- Tabatha K. Rowland (Jeff) of Grand Rivers, KY; Susan R. Marsala (Chris Byars), Stephanie C. Lamb, Rebecca A. Marsala (Lorenzo Cash) all of Murray, KY and Laurie J. Iglesias (Gustavo) of Oviedo, FL. “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”)- A.A. Milne

She was also a doting and admiring Grandmother of twenty- Justin Wallace, Allyson Robertson, Kevin Wallace, Taylor Hardin and Aaron Rowland; Seth Lee, Jeremy Lee, Bailey Lee, Lincoln Byars, Carstyn Byars; Caleb Lamb, Kaitlyn Lamb; Aaron Marsala, Adrianne Byars; Giovanni Iglesias, Lucas Iglesias, Santiago Iglesias, and Sofia Iglesias. You are loved more than you will ever know- Romans 5:8

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael James Pyles and a granddaughter, Avary Noelle Byars. May they be reunited again in Heaven.

Furthermore, Beverly was a proud and adoring great- grandmother of fourteen-

Braylon Howard, Ty Hardin, Mattias Siress, Zakai Marsala, Finley Wallace, Nolan Hardin, Ace Wallace, Charley Hardin, Izac Hardin, Delilah Jenkins, Ellie Jenkins, Addilyn Jenkins, Laiyken Rich and soon to be born baby Dax. Beverly was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family and friends. Her family came first- (and was above all else) a value she instilled in all those around her. She was always there when we needed her. She was our greatest fan and our biggest cheerleader. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services on Saturday Dec. 30th at 5pm for anyone who would like to join us in celebrating their beautiful life -located at Blalock Coleman Funeral Home- 713 S. 4th S. Murray, KY.

The family would like to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers; thoughts and condolences at this difficult time of mourning.
