On Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:46 am, Wanda Sue Hays surrounded by her beloved family passed from her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wanda Sue will be remembered by her friends and family, as a lady who was a great cook. Over the years she prepared many Sunday dinners for her entire family and anyone else who happened to stop in. She loved being surrounded by her children grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wanda Sue’s favorite time of the year was Christmas and all that goes with it. She loved to celebrate the birth of our savior. She decorated their home from top to bottom inside and out. She loved giving gifts of her homemade candies her peanut brittle was the best, her canned goods from the summer before, her handmade crocheted items, and her little goody bags. She was always happy to open her door and find Christmas carolers singing and she always had a little treat for them. She loved going to all of the family gatherings, shopping, eating out at restaurants, and driving around looking at Christmas lights. She collected nativity sets and had one almost anywhere you looked. She also had a collection of cardinal bird figurines. This year she will be so happy to celebrating Christmas with all of her family who have gone on before her. Wanda had many places of employment over her lifetime, but she will mostly be remembered as a homemaker, farm wife, and devoted wife mother and grandmother. She was an extremely hard worker.
