Richard Reynolds Parker, 64, of Brookport, Illinois, formerly of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his residence.
Richard was born in Owensboro on October 29, 1959 to the late Herbert Franklin Parker and Peggy Graves Ulmer Parker. He was a 1977 graduate of Owensboro High School and attended college at Western Kentucky University. Throughout the years, Richard worked in the service industry and was a member of the International Thespian Society. He was known for his love of stage and theatre.
Richard is survived by his husband Gary Stewart; his stepmother, Tara Parker; two sisters, Sondra Parker of Florida and Amy Cuenca (Carlos) of Louisville, Kentucky; a very special niece, Alyssa Althaus; a great niece who he was very much looking forward to meeting, Harper Akers, daughter of niece Leah Akers (Max); and fourteen dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Peggy Parker; two brothers, Jeff Parker and Mike Parker; and one sister, Jennifer Ulmer.
There are no services scheduled at this time. A memorial service is to be held at a later date.
