Betty Humphreys Travis, age 94, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation in Paducah.
Betty was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 9, 1929, to the late Arlee and Myrtle Vaughn Humphreys. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Betty and her late husband owned and operated Travis Refrigeration and Travis Ice Machine Rentals before their retirement. Once retired, Betty enjoyed being home with her family and helping her husband in the flower garden. She also loved to read in her free time.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Linda Kathleen Woodyard, Karen Lea Brown and Donna Sue (Peter) Tilleli; one son, Steven Wickliffe (Karen) Walker; step-daughter, Linda (Neal) Gore and step-son, Kelsie (Nancy) Travis; a sister, Barbara Daniels; three brothers, David Lee Humphreys, Michael Humphreys and Patrick Humphreys; 15 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelsie Travis, Jr.; and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
