Betty Carolyn Holland, 71, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on November 24, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Betty was born on July 26, 1952 to the late Albert and Betty Lou Blaine Lady in Paducah, Kentucky. Fifty-two years ago, she married the love of her life, George Dwayne Holland and they went on to have one son, Jerry. She spent many years working in the service department at Leon Riley Ford and as a Teacher’s Aide at both Central Elementary and Benton Elementary before retiring. Betty was also an avid Marshall County Basketball fan and always enjoyed going to watch the games with her husband. Betty was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. More than anything else, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking every opportunity she could to spoil her only grandchild, Makynlie.
Betty is survived by her husband, George Holland, of Benton; one son, Jerry Holland (Rhea Ann) of Murray; and her granddaughter, Makynlie Holland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert “AJ” Holland and Betty Lou Holland.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Filbeck- Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Jim Capps officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
