Mrs. Helen Joy Humphreys, age 100, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Paducah, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
She was a member of Concord Methodist Church in Paducah, KY and a retired employee of McDonald Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, MO.
Mrs. Humphreys is survived by one son, Kenneth (Judy) Humphreys of Madisonville, KY; one daughter, Debby Holtzmann of Belleville, IL; one sister, Nellie Jo (George Robert) Cook of Sedalia, KY; four grandsons, Stephen Humphreys, Adam Humphreys, Bill Holtzman and David Holtzman; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Humphreys; one son, David Lynn Humphreys; three brothers, JB Hicks, Thomas Freeman Hicks and Billy Coy Hicks; one sister, Imogene Thorpe; and her parents, Henry Coy and Alma Lucy Byasse Hicks.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Joy Humphreys will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Interment will follow at Burnetts Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Holtzman III, David Holtzman, Will Holtzman, Adam Humphreys, Stephen Humphreys and Max Humphreys.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
