Virginia “Ruthie” Fraser McCutchen, age 70, of Clinton, Kentucky, formerly of Ballard County, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah, Kentucky.

 

Virginia was born in Clinton on July 30, 1953, to the late William Marshall Fraser and Alva Virginia Templeton Roney.  She was a devoted Christian her whole life.  Virginia had many hobbies and talents that included fishing, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and cooking for family and friends.  She also loved all animals, especially her beloved dog, “Harley” and his puppy wife, “Sandee”.  Virginia will be remembered as being the most loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

 

Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Charla Benson of Clinton and Carla Bivins of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; one son, Mikea Shane (Tressa) Smith of Arlington; 3 step Daughters, Christy, Andi and Michelle;  one brother, Danny Joe Fraser of Clinton; nine grandchildren, Curtis (Tesla) Smith, Melissa Bone, Robert Smith, Dustin Gee, Destiny Benson, Delana Bivins, Matthew Bivins, Sophia Jones, and Charlie Smith; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Butch” McCutchen; three sisters, Sandra Lemons, Mona Goetz, and Polly Fraser; one brother, Jim Fraser; and her parents.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. Joe Vance officiating.

 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
