On Nov 19, 2023 at approximately 2:30 am a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Hwy 641N. The vehicle disregarded emergency equipment traveling at a high rate of speed. The suspect periodically slammed on his breaks and would swerve towards the deputy. At one point he struck the deputies vehicle causing minor damage, and then continued onto the grassy area of the shoulder of the road. The pursuit continued for several more miles before he pulled to the side of the roadway. He initially refused to exit the vehicle, would not follow instructions and was very belligerent. He was arrested and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility on the below listed charges.

On Sep 12, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm deputies were called to the Murray Calloway County Hospital. The investigation revealed that Jeremy Owens had stabbed a female subject in a residence on Faxon Road. Two individuals attempted to intervene using multiple tactics; one was stabbed and another struck in the face. One of the victims then retrieved a shotgun and fired multiple times at Owens. A struggle over the weapon ensued and they were able to overcome Owens ending the altercation. They were then able to escape to their vehicle and drive to the hospital.
Both stabbing victims had multiple wounds and were flown to Skyline Hospital. Owens was located at the residence with a gun shot wound to the abdomen and was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. A warrant was issued for Owens due to needing medical treatment. It was served on Nov 17, 2023 and he was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility.

On Nov 6, 2023 at approximately 6:30 pm deputies attempted to serve a warrant in
Dexter for shoplifting from a Dollar General. The suspect was located and while being
arrested, he attempted to pull away and resist. He was found to be in possession of an illicit drug which is a Class D felony. It was discovered that he was found guilty of
possession two other times, the last being in 2019. He was lodged at the Calloway
County Detention Facility on the below listed charges.
