Max Dale Norwood, 80 of Hardin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Max was born at home in Olive, Kentucky on September 21, 1943 to the late Edgar Norwood and Charlene Watkins Norwood. He worked as a machinist for 30 years at ICG Gulf in Paducah. Max also worked in the timber industry as a logger. He had a team of pulling mules to log with and enjoyed riding horses.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Ed Norwood and wife June of Kirksey; two nephews, Tim Powell and Tommy Powell; three nieces, Susie Scott, Jo Beth Robertson and Melanie Paulsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Norma Powell; brother-in-law, Shermon Powell and niece, Ginger Powell.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Barnett Cemetery in the Olive Community with Bro. Jimmy Fulton officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Collier Funeral Chapel, 211 West 5th St., Benton, Kentucky.
