Mr. Joe T. Lovett, age 99, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at his residence.
He was a member of Calvary Community Church, a member of IBEW #816, a Kentucky Colonel and a retired employee of West Kentucky Rural Electric.
Mr. Lovett is survived by one son, Joe (Phyllis) Lovett of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Carolyn Sue (Larry) Green and Sherron M. Moffitt both of Matfield, KY; one brother, Pat Lovett of Marshall County, KY; one sister, Betty Henson of Marshall County, KY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rudd Lovett; four brothers, Roy Lovett, Wayne Lovett, Hill Lovett and Leon Lovett; five sisters, Mary Nimo, Madeline Colley, Mavis Golightly, Kitty Cope and Mildred Crouse; one son-in-law, Larry Moffitt; and his parents, Bernie and Lala Hill Lovett.
Funeral services for Mr. Joe T. Lovett will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Kathy Belcher will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shayne Green, Craig Green, Joe David Green, Michael Moffitt, Devin Lovett, Andrew Green, Alex Green, Caleb Veatch, Jace Brown, Zaiden Sanderson, Jonah Lovett and Lovett Gream.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
