James “Red” Fox, 79, of Metropolis, passed away on November 3, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Fox was a retired Tow Boat Captain from both Ingram and Pine Bluff. He was known by his nicknames; “Old Man River” and “The Sandman”. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy Ann Fox; one daughter, Lora (Nelson) Rodriguez; two step-children, Heather Ann (Waldrop) Williams and Bryan (Renae) Waldrop; one brother, Jack (Glenda) Fox; 5 grandchildren, Chris, Travis, Addy, Katelyn and Chance; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Fox and Lora Maxine Fox; and two brothers, Jerry Fox and Steven Fox.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Lindsey Funeral Home.
