In the early hours of November 4th, 2023 (approximately 3:00 AM), Deputies with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 9000 Block of KY-945, outside of the Melber community. Through an investigation it was determined that 33-year-old Mickey Neighbors of Alma, Arkansas got into an altercation with another male subject who was at the residence with Neighbors. Neighbors retrieved a firearm, shot two rounds into the air and two rounds toward the other male subject who was attempting to flee. One of the rounds struck the gravel driveway in close proximity to the fleeing individual. Neighbors then departed the residence in a green Ford pickup but was located a few miles down the road by Deputies of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. Neighbors was arrested by McCracken County for DUI. Graves County Deputies conducted interviews and located shell casings at the residence leading to Neighbors to be charged with four counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change.
Deputy Garret Clark, Deputy Austin Caldwell and Detective Sergeant Snapper Seaton investigated this case. They were assisted by the McCracken County Sheriff’s office. The investigation is on-going.
