Arrest of Fugitive

Thanks to a tip from a citizen, the Sheriff’s Office was able to locate and arrest a dangerous wanted fugitive this afternoon.
At approximately 3:55 PM this afternoon, Deputy Larry Jones and Deputy Tony Cornwell located Tabatha Wilhite, 45 of Graves County, at a residence on KY 1820 in the Melber area. Wilhite was located hiding under a bed sheet in the corner of a bedroom at the residence.
Wilhite was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, Greater Than Two Grams of Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess, Assault in the First Degree and DUI 1st Offense with an Aggravated Circumstance. All of the above charges are stem from a collision that Wilhite was involved in on June 10, 2023 in the Fancy Farm community. A blood test taken that day confirmed that Wilhite was under the influence of methamphetamine when the collision occurred. The collision seriously injured Fancy Farm resident Robert Thomas. Both Thomas and Wilhite were flown from to Nashville area hospitals after the collision.
Wilhite was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
