Dawel R. Moore, 92 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Dawel was born in Muhlenberg Co, Kentucky on February 25, 1931 to the late Emmitt Lee Moore, Sr. and Lorine Everly Moore. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps as a CPL from 1951 until 1953. Dawel worked as a chemical operator for 32 years at GAF, later called ISP before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fishman. Dawel was a member of Calvert City United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Higley and husband, Dan of Sarasota, FL; son, Jeff Moore of Bradenton, FL; one brother, Thomas D. Moore; two sisters, Mary Dukes and Janie Dickerson, all of Drakesboro, KY.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Frances Sadler Moore; one brother, Emmitt Lee Moore, Jr.; two sisters, Wanda Winstead and Beatrice Carroll.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Benton, Kentucky 42025. Interment will follow at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home.
