Ms. Glenda Gail Hughes, 90, of Murray, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Ms. Hughes was born on July 18, 1933 in Henry County, TN to the late Clyde Maurice Scarbrough and Mildred Kathleen Paschall. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death is a son, David Brent Hughes; a brother, Pat Scarbrough; two sisters, Shirley Scarbrough, Judy Hamilton, in addition to her parents.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include a son, Barry (Bubba) Dale Hughes (Lydia) of Tuscaloosa, AL; a daughter, Donna Futrell of Murray; a brother, Joe M. Scarbrough (Joyce) of Orlando, FL; a sister, Kathy Farris (Jimmy) of Murray; eight. grandchildren, David B. Hughes, Aaron Hughes, Abby Johnson, John Hughes, Desirae Meggs, Ky Hughes, Nichole Piatek and Amberly Futrell Hodge. Also surviving are six great grandchildren.
A private burial will take place at Murray Memorial Gardens at a later date.
