Mr. Ronald Newsom, age 78, of Golo passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah, KY.
He was of the Baptist faith, a retired farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Newsom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Taylor Newsom; one son, Scott Newsom of Golo, KY; three sisters, Joann (Billy Gerald) Rodgers of Farmington, KY, Carol Craig of Evansville, IN and Sally (Mike) Curry of Mayfield, KY; and two grandchildren, Corrine Nichy and Amber Nichy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Newsom Smith; one brother, Ellis Scott Davis; one sister, Iva Carson; and his parents, Raymon and Elizabeth Norphlett Newsom.
Graveside services for Mr. Ronald Newsom will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Brewers Cemetery. Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate.
Interment will follow.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
