Clarence Wagers, 68, of Benton, KY, passed away late September 26, 2023 at Baptist Health hospital in Paducah, KY. He was born on February 21, 1955 to the late Herman Wagers and the late Edith (Stevens) Wagers in Manchester, KY.
He was surrounded by wife and all his children. He was a loving father, husband, uncle, brother, provider for his family and a mentor to many. He had an infectious personality, and always had a way to make you smile or laugh when you needed it, even when he was in ill health. He had a way of being positive that you could not help it from rubbing off on you. Later in life, his life revolved around his grandchildren, he loved being Papaw.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Jennifer Wagers, his son, Caleb Wagers, three daughters, Bethany Bushhouse (Mark), Jessica Wagers and Andrea Wagers. 9 grandchildren, Luke Durham, Reagan Wagers, Hayden Fulks, Dane Wallace, Grant Bain, Liberty Bushhouse, Isabelle Bushhouse. Amelia Bushhouse and Ruby Kendrick, and brothers, David Wagers and Calvin Wagers, sisters, Lorene Henson, Evelyn Wright, Carolyn Kish and Melissa Wagers and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Willie Wagers and Billy Wagers and sisters, Sandra White and Barbara Wagers.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Parish officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
