Lady Marshals wrap up regular season, District Tournament next week

This week, the Lady Marshals wrapped up their final regular season games with a 10-1 win over Hopkins County Central and 2-1 loss to McCracken County. The number one seed Lady Marshals will play on Tuesday, Oct. 3 in the District Tournament against the winner of Monday’s Mayfield vs. Graves County game. The girl’s District Tournament will be played at Marshall County.

Tuesday against Hopkins County Central, Karsyn Serpico and Zoe Maxlow each had three goals. Presley Gallimore, Anna Robertson, Addi Wall and Rylee Teague all with one goal in the 10-1 win.  Phoebe Ramsey recorded two saves.

In the final regular season game against McCracken County, the Lady Mustangs held at 2-0 lead at halftime on goals by Payton Ledgerwood and Maddy Ledgerwood. Early in the second half, Presley Gallimore scored for the Lady Marshals to make it a 2-1 game and that was the final score.

Phoebe Ramsey had eight saves and McCracken County keeper Addison Smith had 10 saves.

The Lady Marshals finish the regular season with a record of 14-4-2. The Lady Mustangs lead the region with a record of 18-0-2.
