Billye Cox, age 74, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 8:40 P.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Billye was born in Vandalia, Illinois on Thursday, January 6, 1949 to John and Margaret Cox. She was an excellent cook, had a great sense of humor, and though she was “tough as nails”, her compassionate heart led her to do whatever she could to help someone in need. Billye will be remembered for the love she had for her family and “all her boys on the boat”.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Shonda Hogan of Piney Flats, Tennessee; her son, Tony Parker of High Springs, Florida; her sisters Fran Woley (Gerald) of Paducah and Diane Cox of Ozark, Missouri; her grandchildren, Brittney Rice (Stan) Whittney Reynolds, Amanda Griffin, Kelsi Crew (William), Darryn Thompson, Colton Myers, Heather Hinson and Jennifer Davis (Steven); her great grandchildren, Trenton Rice, Dillon Rice, Alivia Rice, Triston Rice, Brayden Deeds, Emanuel Alvira and Isaiah Alvira.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her daughters, Mistie Martinez and Kristi Hogan; her parents, John Cox and Margaret Hudspeth Parker; her brother, Kenneth Cox; her grandchildren, Chavis Martinez and Justin Hogan.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Bro. William Crew officiating.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Monday, September 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
