Mrs. Doris Jean Hunter, age 85, of Farmington passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her residence.
She was a member of Farmington Baptist Church where she was the pianist for many years. She was also a self-employed music teacher and saleslady for Stanley Home Products.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband, Eugene Hunter; two sons, Terry Gene (Terri) Hunter and Mitchell (Tawnya) Hunter both of Farmington, KY; one daughter, Lisa (Keith) Copeland of Murray, KY; two sisters, Brenda (Kenneth) Morris of Gulf Shores, AL and Devonda (Mike) Wilford of Mayfield, KY; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Riley and her parents, William Cecil “Bill” and Irene Windsor Riley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Jean Hunter will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate. Interment will follow at Bazzell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric Hunter, Kye Rogers, Skyler Hunter, Jake Hunter, Isaac Hickerson and Scott Gream. Wanda Patterson, Lydia Renard and Regina Blalock will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the funeral home.
