Adalynn Everly Rose Geveden, the infant child of Austin Geveden and Dawn Frankhouser, passed away on August 31, 2023.

Adalynn was born at 37 weeks on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 12:51 p.m. She weighed 5lb 9oz and was 16.5 inches in length. A tiny, beautiful piece of heaven, a precious little girl we always prayed to have.

Adalynn was the answer to her parent’s prayers, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation. She had a rough start, staying in the hospital’s NICU for seven days due to respiratory distress. She fought hard and strong and quickly had her CPAP removed, followed by the IV. She breastfed every 3 hours during her hospital stay, and we bonded quickly. She got off all her monitors, and we celebrated her homecoming on Monday, August 28, 2023. Our dreams had come true. A beautiful baby girl to call our own. With big brothers to greet her and protect her growing up.

The following three days and nights were complete bliss. During her brief time with us on earth, she spent much of her time snuggled on her mama’s chest, wrapped tightly in her daddy’s arms, her tiny fingers wrapped around ours and being loved on by her three older, yet little, brothers (ages 4, 3 and 1). Some of our favorite memories are welcoming Addy home surrounded with love from her doting siblings and family, her gentle soft coos and the sounds while she slept, and singing her soft lullabies while rocking her to sleep. The pure joy in our home was unmatched.

A beautiful baby girl who was loved so deeply and who touched so many lives in such a brief time, taken far too soon. Our love for you, Addalyn, is deeper than any words will adequately describe, and we look forward to being reunited with you and Jesus someday. Until then, dance with the angels, sweet Addy, and know you are missed beyond measure.

Adalynn is survived by her parents, Austin Geveden and Dawn Frankhouser of Arlington, Kentucky; one sister, Chyenne Geveden of Arlington; four brothers, Ryan, Logan, Weston, and Colsten Geveden, all of Arlington; her grandmother, Tamra Shehorn of Arlington; her grandfather, Bruce Geveden of Red Bluff, California; her grandfather, Douglas Frankhouser of Lompoc, California; an uncle, Dwight (Kim) Frankhouser of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; two cousins, Amelia and Faith Frankhouser of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Geveden; a grandmother, Lynn Frankhouser; and a grandfather, Joe Shehorn.
