Claud “Earl” McLeod, 81, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his place of residence.
Earl was born to the late Claud and Lena Henson McLeod on May 30, 1942 in Marshall County, Kentucky. He was a family man and keeping family ties and bonds strong was something he found great value in. Earl visited members of his family every day he could and enjoyed having morning coffee with them. He was a member of First Baptist Church and had a special place in his heart for his Sunday school class and all those in it. His love for family and church was evident in the way he lived daily.
Earl is survived by his wife, Karen Jenkins McLeod; one daughter, Tracey Wright (Jeffrey); one son, Randall Earl McLeod; six grandchildren, Adam Wopat, Dakota McLeod, Taylor Oates, Tyler McLeod, Kaitlin McLeod, Sara Stokley and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Southern McLeod; one son, Christopher Shane McLeod; four sisters, Sue Cooper, Velda Street, Louise Wood, and Mary Lou Stewart; seven brothers, George McLeod, Louis McLeod, Troy McLeod, Jack McLeod, Jimmy McLeod, Wayne McLeod, Bobby McLeod and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr. Masonic Rites starting at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Jeremy Hudgen and Bro. Don Wilson officiating.
